Thursday, April 23rd, 2009, fourteen 7th – 10th graders made a pilgrimage to Make a Sound Choice for an “abstinence field trip.” Led by counselor Rodney Johnson and principal and health teacher Jim Upgren, these young men and young women were given a tour of FirstChoice Clinic, an abstinence “pep talk” by Rebecca Meidinger, and had the chance to ask questions of a panel of experts: nurses Renae Setter and Kay Kiefer, college student Ruth Gapp, and speaker Rebecca Meidinger. They were sent home with bags of goodies, including t-shirts that read, “PANTS ON.” MSC enjoyed hosting their field trip, and we are available for others schools or groups for a tour, a talk, other creative events!
