PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS

Make a Sound Choice offers outstanding opportunities for the students with whom you work.

Classroom Materials and Resources:
Make a Sound Choice has partnered with over 50 schools and youth service facilities throughout North Dakota and western Minnesota to provide middle- and high-school students with at least 8 hours of classroom instruction in character-based, risk-avoidance education – with a focus on avoiding sexual activity in adolescence.  Educators, counselors and school nurses have been trained in use of specific curriculum that has been provided by MSC with grant dollars.

HQ:
HQ:  Your Headquarters for Sexual Integrity and Relationships is a magazine-style publication that has been produced annually by MSC.  Contributors to the publication are all local – and we engage high school and college students to provide us with content.  Each issue features a local high school or college student on the cover, followed by an interview with that individual inside the magazine.  Features in HQ have included:  dating tips, pornography awareness, adoption, the differences between guys and girls and more!

Speakers and Special Events:
MSC plans events each year, as our budget allows, to bring exciting speakers and programming into the area for local teens.  We have brought several high-energy, national speakers to North Dakota – including Julie Laipply, Johan Khalilian, Shelly Donahue and Keith Davis.  Our one-day leadership training – Youth in Action – has reached hundreds of youth with messages that challenge them to be leaders of character in their own schools and communities.  Check our Events Page for upcoming events.  And, you can ‘like’ Make a Sound Choice on facebook and get updates on events as they are planned!
